Get to know Ophthalmologist Dr. James M. Jochum, who serves patients in Florida.

Dr. Jochum is a board-certified ophthalmologist who practices at Florida Eye Clinic. He sees patients at the offices in Altamonte Springs and Orange City, Florida. Professionally, Dr. Jochum is also the current Chairman of the Department of  Ophthalmology for all Advent Health Hospitals of Central Florida. He is an active investigator in several national clinical research trials. Military experience, he is a retired Captain, US Navy with 28 years of service and assignments around the globe as a Naval Flight Surgeon and Ophthalmologist. Dr. Jochum graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine, then completed his internship at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Florida, followed by Naval Aerospace Medical Institute Flight Surgeon training and then Ophthalmology residency at National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. Additionally, he is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, the Society of Military Ophthalmologists, and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States.
